Chats and groups
One-to-one chats and groups for your team, family or friends. Disappearing messages after 1, 7 or 30 days.
Cifrela is an end-to-end encrypted messenger for work and private conversations. No phone number, no ads, no trackers — and servers in the EU.

The features you expect from a messenger — every one of them end-to-end encrypted.
One-to-one chats and groups for your team, family or friends. Disappearing messages after 1, 7 or 30 days.
Audio and video calls one-to-one, and group calls with up to 25 people. Your phone encrypts the sound and video.
Photos, documents and voice messages. Each file is encrypted on your phone before it is sent.
Announcement channels for your company and polls in any chat to hear from everyone quickly.
Reply with a quote, react, and fix a message you've already sent — for everyone in the chat.
Automatic backups encrypted with your recovery key, and a QR transfer when you switch to a new phone.
PIN and auto-lock — and you can unlock the app with your fingerprint or face.
Cifrela warns you about suspicious addresses: look-alike letters, shortened links, an IP address instead of a site name.
Light and dark themes and clear screens with nothing extra — so you can get on with work.

Encryption keys are created on your phone and never leave it. Not even we can read your conversations.
Messages, photos, documents, voice messages and your profile are encrypted with the MLS standard (RFC 9420), and call keys are agreed through it.
By default a hybrid of ML-KEM-768 + X25519: what is recorded today can't be decrypted even by a future quantum computer.
Sign up with an email address or an invitation. Your address book never leaves your phone.
Notifications on Android work without Google services: the server only says "something new".
The server and data are in a data centre in Germany. The server itself only sees ciphertext.
No analytics and no selling of data. This website doesn't use cookies either.
A private network where employees talk only to each other and the owner manages the team. Neither the owner nor we can read the conversations.

Only the people in the chat. Messages are encrypted on the sender's phone and decrypted only on the recipients' phones. The server, your internet provider or café Wi-Fi only ever see ciphertext — and we don't have the keys.
A phone number reveals too much about a person. With Cifrela you sign up with an email address or an invitation from a friend or your company. Only someone who knows your exact name or email can find you — and you can turn that off.
Only the service data needed to deliver messages: who shares a chat with whom, when and how much was sent, and your user name. It can't see the content of messages, files or calls. Details are on the Security page.
If you turned on backups, you can restore your conversations on a new phone with your recovery key — write it down on paper. Without the key no one can open the backup, not even us. For company accounts, the owner can remotely wipe Cifrela data on a lost phone.
For now one account works on one phone. When you change phones, move everything from the old one to the new one with a QR code — nothing gets lost.
The iPhone version is being prepared for the App Store. On Android you can download the app from our website today; it is coming to Google Play soon.
Your conversations and keys stay on your phone in an encrypted file. The server runs in a data centre in Germany (EU) and stores only ciphertext. A company can keep its files and backups in its own S3 storage.
No. The app has no ads, no trackers and no analytics, and we don't sell or share data with advertisers. This website doesn't use cookies or counters either.
